Longview High School senior Clifton Robinson said he was misguided when he entered high school four years ago."I was worrying about other folks, and I caused myself to fall back and get in trouble," Robinson said, noting a "stupid decision" his junior year landed him in a disciplinary alternative education program for 30 days.
During that time, he said he started to re-evaluate his life choices."Once I was in (the alternative education program), I started thinking about my future, and now I'm back in school," Robinson, 18, said.
He is one of 503 seniors set to graduate tonight at Lobo Stadium."I learned that you can't worry about what other people think, and you have to move forward," Robinson said.
